About Judge Lyle Riggs
Born: Hon. Lyle Riggs is a fourth-generation, native Arizonan.
Education: After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1991 with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Judge Riggs attended law school in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated with honors, from Drake University Law School in 1995.
Legal: Since 1995, Judge Riggs has practiced law in Arizona. He spent three years in the Arizona Attorney Generals Office working on civil and administrative matters for the Arizona Department of Agriculture. He also worked three years practicing environmental & natural resource law with the law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy. In addition to those experiences, Judge Riggs operated his own law practice. He focused on criminal law, civil litigation, and appellate practice.
Starting in 2011, Judge Riggs began serving as a part-time judge in the Pinal County Justice Courts. He also worked in the Maricopa County Justice Courts and Chandler Municipal Court prior to this election.
On January 1, 2015, he began serving his first term as Justice of the Peace for the Pinal County Justice Court, Precinct 4, Western Pinal Justice Court formerly (Maricopa/Stanfield).
