About Judge Jessica K. Dixon

Born: Jessica Dixon was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. As the daughter of attorneys, she was immersed in the legal field from a young age and learned to appreciate the impact the judicial system has on the lives of citizens

Education: She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2004. She received her Juris Doctorate from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in 2007. While attending law school, Jessica worked in community mental health as a behavioral health technician at La Frontera, Inc.

Legal: After graduation, she joined her family’s legal practice, Hernandez, Scherb & Dixon, in Florence, Arizona, where she represented adult and minor clients in criminal, juvenile, guardianship, immigration, and family law matters. From 2014-2017, Jessica worked in Dayton, Ohio while her husband was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB. There she established the Law Office of Jessica K. Dixon and specialized her practice to the representation of children and vulnerable citizens. In September 2014, Jessica earned a certificate of legal specialization as a Child Welfare Law Specialist through the National Association of Counsel for Children. In 2016, Jessica received her Master of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She returned to practice in Pinal County in 2018 and accepted an appointment by Presiding Judge Stephen McCarville to serve as a Superior Court Commissioner in October 2020.

Family: Jessica is married with a daughter and two sons.
