Child Interview
A Judge may order that your child(ren) be interviewed by an FSCC evaluator. The child is interviewed alone by a trained, professional evaluator. Per Family Court Rules, all child interviews are audio recorded and a written summary without recommendations is provided to the Court and the parties upon completion.

Conciliation Counseling
Conciliation Counseling can give you time to decide and is offered by the Superior Court (under the authority of Arizona Law ARS 24-381) for spouses who are considering divorce or in the process of divorce. The focus of this brief counseling is to assist spouses in making an informed and thoughtful decision regarding their future.

Default Assistance Program (DAP)
The Court may grant the requests made in the Petition for Dissolution without the Respondent participating, if the person served with the Petition for Dissolution did not file a Response. A default hearing can be set by the Petitioner if the other party/Respondent has not filed a written response.

Expedited Differentiated Case Management (EDCM)
EDCM is a non-confidential service that may be automatically set in your case if it meets certain criteria, or the Judge may order this service. During your meeting with Family Services of the Conciliation Court, a screening will be conducted to identify any areas of concern and make recommendations to the Court.

Family Assessment
A Family Assessment is a meeting with an evaluator to gather important information regarding the family. The evaluator will interview the parents to identify whether there are areas of agreement, what issues are in dispute and whether there are parental concerns and parental fitness issues.

High Conflict Class
A Judge may order parents to attend this four-hour class to help parents learn better ways of communicating and addressing conflict and instability in their co-parent relationships.

Mediation
Mediation is a meeting with a mediator to try and reach an agreement regarding your dissolution, judgement, or other family court matter. In mediation, parties are encouraged to talk about their present and future plans, as well as the needs of any child(ren) in an open and problem-solving manner. The mediator is neutral and objective whose role is to help you work together to resolve problems about your court matter.

Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)
Online Dispute Resolution (or ODR) provides a confidential space for parties to work out an agreement to their dispute completely online. Parties can access their information, their mediator, and each other at their convenience, from the comfort of their separate homes or locations.

Order of Protection

Parent Education Class Q & A
You are required to attend the class by law (ARS§ 25-351) if you are involved in a divorce, legal separation, or paternity case in which a party requests that the Court determine custody, parenting time, or child support.

Self Help
Self-Help is where a Conciliation Services staff member provides assistance for self-represented litigants and is able to answer general questions about the court process, explain court rules, procedures, and practices, provide information and explain how to file a case, and review forms for accuracy and completeness.
